Faith Increases Faith

“Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2:11-13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

His faithfulness does not depend on us. He IS faithful. That is His innate being and character. It is unaffected by our lack of faith.

If you identify an area you want to increase your faith, how do you go about increasing your faith? We can start by reminding ourselves of His faithfulness to His people in the past (found in the Bible) or by remembering what He’s done for us personally in the past. We remember that God never changes- so what He was faithful to do before, He will be faithful to do again!

Faith increases faith. If we want to increase our faith, we must step forward in faith. Though it may be just a tiny amount of faith, if we step out moving forward in that, God will meet us there and, as a result, our faith will increase!

Ask God to reveal any areas you’re lacking confidence in Him, and to remind you of how trustworthy He has been and will be to that specific area.
